Back in the 80’s my parents bought a used Apache Mesa. Brand new these were around $10k (when adjusted for inflation) and weigh under 1,400lbs. Anyone could afford one, and anyone could tow one. They were one of the most popular trailers out there (there are even people who restore them now).
