Shit winters and summer bugs but mostly shit winters. I'd choose mountain US over it anyways. Montana, Idaho as well as eastern southern Oregon or in other words pacific Northwest is gods country.

don't much care for Alaskan mosquitos. winters there are kinda weird. sunlight too, sorta all or nothing. for sure beautiful if you visit at the right time though

m8 go out of town a ways, the whole borough is getting fogged for mosquitos at this point. I can hardly keep bees closer than goldstream, they perish from deltamethrin/bithenthrin poisoning.

oh lole is that it? i haven't been able to get more than a day's bike out of town since i moved here in 2023. i had been thinking everyone except me were just awful complainers. i did spend a week fishing nearish delta junction before moving in & they didn't seem too bad there either but i'll hold judgement for now. gonna be doing fieldwork in yukon-charley preserve this summer so i guess i'll find out

I actually did this plus GA, bush, gliders, skydiving and fixed object jumping during my 30's. Then, I decided to settle down cozily. In my 50's now and unable to find a quality mate. My family forgot about me, writing me off. I am all alone and lonely. The visuals aren't worth it. Lost my life in a sense although physically in great shape. Didn't work out for me.
