>>2806465You mean when the road is open? I went to glaicer last year with my family for my mom's birthday and it was some of the most beautiful ground I ever laid eyes on especially once you got off the road a little, but the main attraction for most people is the road, and it was still closed and impossible to find parking or even a spot to turn around. It's definitely on my list to return to without a bunch of fat fucks who bitch when they get half a mile from the car, but to pretend that that isn't the core demographic is stupid. People go for the wildflowers and the road, they want to stay in their car and pull off for 15 minute "hikes" to whatever particular sight their youtube guide told them to stop at. Timed entry is an absolute must for that or it will be congested beyond use.
>>2806474100% this. I stayed in fish lake and st Mary's campgrounds cause my family wanted to stay in the lodges. St Mary's wasn't bad at all but fish lake was all foreigners. For as hard as it is too get camp sites it's disgusting that our own people don't get first preference.
>>2806859Yes. Wanting to take care of you and yours is the basis of any functional society. I don't care what flavor of American you pack the parks with as long as they are Americans. We pay for the parks, if one American has to go without so a foreigner can use our park it's a disgrace. In the case of glaicer specifically I'll make an exception for Canadians, but it wasn't Canadians clogging up the campsites.
