I know a guy who takes his cat camping, he owns a piece of woodland, that the cat has gotten used to, so he isn't worried about letting her scoot off in the night, but she never has, when they are camping they are always beside each other, sent me a video once of him hiking along, and then, bam, here comes the cat running over fallen trees like its nothing
And, unironically the cat is afraid of small rodents and birds, I think her name is Fiona if I remember correctly, he refers to her as his cat food powered sleeping bag heater
