bonsai tree dying

I'm not sure what to do about my bonsai. it started dying randomly and I'm not sure what's wrong with it. please help.

I just give it tap water. once a day, sometimes every other day depending on how dry it looks.

looks like its either cold or needs a root trimming
also, are you feeding it at all
