Any experiences with pack light kayaks?
I want to bring this inflatable kayak ( like the one pictured) with me on a trip to Morocco this summer. I want to paddle of the Rif coast near Tangier.
The kayak is about 4 lbs and can carry a load of 250lbs . It is about the size of a handbag and I want to take it and my paddle in my suitcase.
Any other inflatable kayaks I should look at!

Sea kayaker here, if you take something like that out on coastal waters we'll be hearing about you on the news. That thing will be swamped in no time flat in even light seas.

Its inflatable, he isnt going to sink, all he has to do is keep his gear in a drybag and bail it out.

Advanced Elements stuff is fairly good, but I don't know about that model.

The Advanced Frame would probably be a better bet for the open sea but it's as big as a suitcase and almost 10 times the weight.

I have an Oru Kayak and it's ok. It's suitable for open water stuff as long as it's not too rough where you're going. You can get a skirt for them as well. I also have an inflatable that I can't recommend because I haven't tried it out yet. The Oru is pretty unstable, so be warned. It folds up, but it's still big when it folds up. You're prolly better off with what you posted. Kind of depends on how choppy the water you'll be in is, if you have a skirt, etc. I honestly don't know much about inflatable stuff on open water. Definitely research it. Here's the Oru:

I had a Sevylor DiveYak op. Without a frame, those things track and paddle horribly. Probably wouldn't be very comfortable either. I like the concept though. I've wanted to do something similar.

I don't know if you remember those old Samsonite suitcases, but the Orus fold up to about the size of a large one of those. So they're pretty big. Here's a pic for reference. You can find Youtube vids of people folding them up and see size reference in those vids. The Oru is a pretty decent all-around craft, but it does take a lot of practice to fold up and fold back in at first. You'd want to practice that before going on any trip.

This thing intrigues me (I've got an Advanced Frame, but as I said it's bulky and kinda heavy) so I found a review of the packlite:

Looks like it would be fun to take backpacking or on bike rides, but seeing the scale of the thing in the pictures I'd be hesitant to take it out on rough water, unless I was just playing around in shallow water at the beach.

Also might want a leg leash so it doesn't blow away if you tip...

The bag is 32x18x8 inches, but it has some extra room for gear. I'll go measure the boat itself in a bit, I have to anyway because I'm shopping for a duffle bag with backpack straps to make it easier to carry to the bus stop.

They also have some other models like the Firefly that are in between in size/weight but I've never used them, also a 4 piece take down paddle.

Make that 18 a 16... the boat itself is 29" long, can be squashed to 13x14, might be able to get it a bit smaller if I used the deflater on my pump instead of just opening the valves and folding it up.

Yeah looks good for just having it there when you're out, just for some funs when you're camped. Doesn't look as good for packrafting style adventure as say an alpacka, but costs a lot less.

A boat like OP's could be great for that.

While living in South FL I really got into kayaking and canoeing. I always wondered what it is like to kayak in my homeland of Morocco. This model looks small enough to bring with as a carry on the plane trip over. Also it is about 300 bucks not too bad.
Only problem is that it just came out this year so no reviews.
