The only context in which I like rain is when its a brief but intense shower that quickly gives way to sunshine.

on a sunday I decided to hike up a small nearby mountain, it's an easy trail so it's alway pretty busy there on weekends but this time it had just started raining heavily so all the people I came across on my ascent were going back down. By the time I got to the top it had stopped raining and I had the peak all to myself

You know that cozy feeling you have under a tarp when it’s raining? You have a full view of the rain all around you but your in your own personal dry space. The sound of it pattering is mellow and relaxing. It’s just super cozy. A tent comes close but it more confining than a tarp. You get all of that, but while moving. It’s an even more personal dry space.

I absolutely fucking hate it when it rains when I am trying to drive or hike. I was driving to a waterfall yesterday, and GPS says there's two main ways, one roundabout but involving highways - or the shortcut - should not have done that
there's a yellow "road not advised for tractor trailers" and by god it was the narrowest paved road ever with hairpin turns up and down a canyon and it was rainy and slick and at one point my ABS activated and I nearly had a heart attack.

I'm pretty sure I had it in gear manually. The road was just too fucking narrow for my SUV and the hairpins were tight and this one section there was very little between you and 200 ft down.
