Mostly it's training, a troubleshooting mindset and some engineering capabilities and understanding how systems work. "Jack of all trades" definitely applies - need to know not just RF and how to put things together, but also AC and DC power systems, offroading (trucks, snowcats, snowmobiles, atvs), engine maintenance, networking, and a healthy dose of safety.
Do things safely, do good quality work, and do it efficiently. In that order.
>is there risk of getting electrocutedyes, rf burns too
>or getting cancer by radiationno, but strong RF fields will fuck you up in other ways
>or getting caught by videocamerasThere's cameras on a lot of radio sites. I wave at them.
>or something?Lots of that too.
