You've chosen the most southern part of continental Australia the weather is going to be miserable most of the year.
You've also chosen a national park and the park jannies will harass you eventually because all camping spots must be booked, even when free and you only get a max time to stay. You can also only camp in the designated areas. Trying to skirt these rules in one of the countries most popular national parks only a short drive from a city of 5 million isn't a smart plan.
Really you should be choosing a state forest on the mid north coast in nsw for both weather and permanence. You can camp anywhere you want for as long as you want and hunt.
