Post your favourite items to forage in the wild, and list what you use them for.
I like to collect spruce gum and pine resin, and make wood finish out of it. You melt the resin in methyl spirits, filter it with a coffee filter, then brush it on sanded wood to make a waterproof, long-lasting finish. The natives used it to seal their canoes. It is sensitive to alcohol, though, of course, so if you spill your rum on it it will need a touch up.
It's really good for daubing the bottoms of lumber that touches the ground, like the bottom of a picnic table, or fence posts that get buried in the dirt.
