That just seems like the least nature-related music I could think of. That and metal just seem out of place in the wilderness

Personally I like blues, but bluegrass stuff like Old Crow Medicine Show is extremely enjoyable for a campfire.

Mountain Man is a great three-piece, largely a capella folk-y group.
Punch Brothers/Nickel Creek/Chris Thile solo is always nice. More folk/bluegrass type music.
I like Paul Baribeau a lot.

As far as not folk-related stuff goes, there's basic post-rock like Explosions in the Sky.
I'm totally blanking on any other recs right now, but I'll make another post if I think of something.

Basically anything that isn't too obtrusive and is generally relaxed, or at least not "get pumped" music.

i usually camp alone but if i'm with my camping bros we'll listen to shit like the band, bob dylan, new riders of the purple sage, some dead, etc. basically music for outdoorsy hipster stoner faggots.

i listen to music a lot but when i go camping by myself i really just prefer the sound of the surroundings. if i do it's usually some drone shit or psych folk or something.
