>>2834209>>2834213In my experience they're pretty tame animals, but I still wouldn't tempt fate against a half ton bovine. I've gotten pretty close to them, although always with a fence or car door in between us, and never had an issue. Just don't surprise them, start making sudden moves, or test them if they're looking upset. Granted, the places I've run into them were parks with a decent amount of traffic, zoos, or ranches where they're used to humans, so your mileage may vary.
