Hello outers, I guess this can be asked here as I found pic related in a shed in my garden. That ball of yellow anger was sleeping soundly so I could take a picture, but how can I get rid of them? Gasoline? Some kind of spray? I'll ambush them at night just to be sure but I'll hear your suggestions. Thanks.

gasoline works pretty well. put it in a pan and put it under the hive, the fumes knocks them out instantly and they fall in and die
you can also mix dish soap and water and put it in a spray bottle, but make sure you use a lot of soap

Wasp spray, at night while they're sleeping. You'll get them all and they won't get aggressive. Get the foam spray with a 14+ foot reach. Soak that bitch down and just walk away. They'll all be dead in the morning and you can clean it up as you see fit.

You can always go for the classic deodorant flamethrower method, if the nest isn't too high. The flame will instantly burn away the wasps' wings, so they won't be able to fly around.

I've a can of break cleaner in the house already, I can make an attempt.

Alright anons, murder complete.
I confirm that Brake Cleaner works wonder, literally insta killed them on the spot. Just a few tried to buzz a bit but most of them just froze in place. Now I put a small container below and didn't take a pic, tomorrow I will. Thanks!

K here's how it went.
Brake Cleaner killed most of them, they seemed to be literally frozen on the spot.
But today I went again for the cleanup and a few of them survived, they were busy on the nest, maybe 10 or so of them... I guess those were behind cover and the cleaner didn't take them.
So I sprayed em again, killed a few more but mostly they ran away instead of attacking. I scraped the nest and burned it, just for good measure. Then I removed the little plastic container and threw away the corpses.

Foam wasp spray will remain on the nest to kill any returning wasps you missed. The fumes of gas or break cleaner will knock them out only as long as it's present. So you will likely have stragglers that you'll miss. If a yellowjacket colony loses it's queen, the next most dominant will become the next queen and begin laying eggs. So you want to get them all.

All bad feedback, op. Leave them. I have them set up above doors to my shop. It has locks, too, btw.
As long as I stay perpendicular to them, when I enter shop, and stay a couple of feet away from them, we do not bother each other. They come back every Spring and stay til Fall.
Why leave them? Only I know they are there. Will be entertaining to ever see burglars attempt entry via the cameras.

I leave paper wasps and wasps in general be(most of the time), but I murder yellow jackets. Jackets are too aggressive, I can't eat outside with them around. Wasps are more interested in the caterpillars feasting in your garden than your burger and beer. Wasps also warn you if they think you're a threat, jackets sting for seemingly no reason sometimes.

TLDR: Wasps ok if they're out of the way, yellow jackets kill on sight.

Spray bottle filled with water and some dish soap. It will eventually kill most if not all the wasps. Plus if you have birds they will eat the clean wasps and it will not hurt them.

Go try it and report back to us, retard, because I use it to remove wasps at work and they drop instantly and stop moving by the time I grab the broom next to me and sweep them up.
Wasps cannot hold their breath, stopping them from breathing makes them die in under a minute, and if they try flying the soap coating them interferes with their wings so they fall, and also makes them use up what little oxygen is in their body faster.

You doing something wrong does not make the thing ineffective.

Why kill them in the first place? they're harmless (not sure which species of wasp it is, but it's not one of the aggressive ones, as those all build covered nests), and in another month, they'll be gone anyways.
