I used to think that Madagascar was a mysterious island full of strange endemic species and dense exotic forests
Turns out the island is over 97% deforested and all the native wildlife is confined to tiny national parks dotted around the island while the rest of the land is slashed and burned to sustain a useless third world population and to line the checkbooks of foreign corporations
