finally here in MA we had a decent thaw over the weekend and a nearby pond finally melted through on one spot and it absolutely stank

Temps here in S.E. Alaska are warming up. I can hear the woods calling me. Night time temps are within comfort of my MSS.
Just one problem: if I go camping, it would be solo. And I've never soloed before.
