Any recommendations to get into bushcrafting? I have no clue as to how to do basic things like start a fire or set up a tent or a hammock. I really want to be good at it by the end of this year. I have only been going on short hikes, but I want to feel confident in my survival skills. Books, videos, ect. Would be highly appreciated.

Learn what wood natives in your area used to use for friction fires, smoking, building, bows, and arrows. Learn knots and weaving. Learn basket traps for fish and small game. Learn how to make rope and snares. YouTube is your friend. Watch things over and over again. Learn how to make charcoal and charcloth. Learn all the uses for animal fat, ash, and tree sap. Learn how to smoke meats. Learn where to find clay and how to use it, primitive technology is good for this on YouTube. Get a book on medicinal plants in your area. Get a book on edible plants in your area. Get a good axe or hatchet. Can never have too many knives or fire starters. Learn how to get water by digging or evaporation. Learn how to general field dress an animal. Learn how to make bows, arrows, and slings. Learn how to flintknap stone and obsidian tools. Dakota firehole. There you go

MyTopo has good has maps you can buy, I suggest you select an area now that you can bug out to. Pick somewhere that has plenty of wildlife and access to water but is also as far away from any civilization or even hiking trails as possible

I was aware that *something* was coming. I have been fearing a power grid shut down for a while now. Other than that i have no clue. Thanks for the amazing recommendations. I recently bought myself flint and steel, Im gonna try to learn how to start a fire. I have never gone fishing or hunting, and I dont even know where to start. I have to get a hunting licence, so I guess that is gonna be my start. I only have my father knife as of now. So I'll have to figure it out.

Thanks! I think i have to start a bit slower, as i am a complete newbie and i dont even know how to use a compass, let alone read a topographical map.
