/Out/ whats the best rifle for backpacking in Alaska wild country to protect myself from bears. i know killing them is frowned upon, so ill only do it as a last resort or if they try to take my food(ps. im fat) but i dont want the bear to put up much of a fight because i like my face. so the gun has to be lightweight so i can tote it arround and stuff you know? so /UOT/ whats the best backpacking rifle for bear country in Alaska? will be leaving in about 4 weeks for the 2 week expedition. also, whats a good scope for said rifle. i want to use it to look at birds and maybe shoot them too.
