>>293428 < I r dis anon>>293446Yeah, you're entirely right, especially with the squirrels; rabbits are also a very large problem in the midlands and the north.
>>293468This guy is partially correct; while medium-large game (Foxes & Deer) require some kind of formal licensing to participate, largely because they require the use of firearms, which are highly controlled in the UK.
However, small game and vermin such as rats, rabbits and some birds are regularly hunted with the use of air rifles; anyone can do this and it's perfectly legal so long as you're doing it on private property, you have the land owners permission and the Air Rifle you use is has under 12ft/lbs of power. (This is just about enough to kill rabbits at about 30ish yards if I'm not mistaken, could be wrong though.)
There are rules with regards to hunting large quantities of small game, but these only really apply for those who hunt professionally to sell the meat, and is more of a tax thing than anything else.
The lack of humane-ness is exactly why bow hunting is prohibited, this is also true for a lot of snare and trap types too.
> Fun Fact,In the city of York it is still legal to kill a Scotsman with a bow and arrow
(One of those old crazy rules from 1700's or some shit)
> Another fun factUnder British law, that Airowgun .22 attachment turns the bow into a Section 1 Firearm and, thus illegal to attach it to the bow unless you have a firearms licence.
