I want to backpack across the US in hopes of learning and adventure. I wish to hit the most spiritual and peaceful spots. suggestions?

I've thought about this before, and some that are on my list are: Yellowstone, The Redwoods, Red Rock Canyon, and Burning Man. I'd love to hear some other opinions though as I'm thinking about doing a cross country trip in about a year.

I cannot express how peaceful and generally awesome that place is. Once you get away from tourist traps you can walk all day in the stillness of the groves and not see another person. Although trying to hang a hammock in a nightmare, it was the best nights sleep I've ever had

not sure about the other places, but i've been to yellowstone when I was like 12. It's more of a tourist destination for families than hiking/camping. But then again that was 12 years ago.

Definitely redwoods.

I might be biased from growing up there, but waves crashing on the granite shores of lake superior during a storm has always seemed very primal and centering to me. Maybe try to swing north and hike along the shore?

Agreed, I once spent a tranquil afternoon in Serpentine Canyon, Grand Canyon, just glorious geomorphology!

Zion is pretty incredible.

The drive there you take a mile long tunnel in complete darkness with occasional pockets of light and once you emerge the view is amazing. Reminded me of "let there be light" fairly spiritual in my opinion
