A mountain lion is pretty dangerous, but they can be scared. Black bears can also be scared somewhat easily. The worst two animals innawoods to be around would be moose and grizzly bears. If they don't have young around or aren't generally pissy, then usually they will just leave you alone. However, while you an save your ass by climbing a tree when encountering either and spraying pepper spray down at them, they will both wait at the bottom of the tree for a good while. Additionally, a moose will try and knock down the tree you're in, and can succeed in knocking you out of it if not knocking down the entire tree. As others have said, it depends on the season for these animals, but they can be EXTREMELY dangerous.
As someone else mentioned earlier, dogs really do piss moose off and even if the moose was being chill, if a dog barks at them or if the moose realizes it's there they will probably chase you.
