I've heard the boots are nice and the jackets are warm. Other than that, knives maybe?
I dunno, the only "milsurp" thing I've ever used was a small gas mask bag (kind of like your pic) that I had laying around my house. Funny because it was damn close to what you've got, 1 large shoulder strap, one small strap (waist maybe? I dunno) and 3 of those snaps at the front. Worked perfectly for a lightweight bag one time when I lost my backpack.
