what containers does /out/ use to transport foods when backpacking?

i bought the squeeze tubes like in pic related to carry ghee, but the tops don't tighten for shit -- they literally pop off if you turn them any more than this. what are my alternatives?

general suggestions for airtight food storage / resealable containers are appreciated too.
