right in cromwell of river road, the shad are up here already, and the alewives and stripers will be when the water temps at 55....its 44 now in essex

also went down do the deep docks in oldlyme on the first for openday winter flounder, but there was too much water got skunked

aim to get there about an hour before high tide, that way you can use popper for the 20 min slack tide, and have a fwe hours of outgoing, imo its good

also if you are a fisherman and have a cao or kayak check out bond pond ( thats what its called on google maps) its behind what used to be the margarita ville in canton you can park right behind it there has always been good bass fishing there and its a little known spot

cromwell here, he/she is sleeping in a box with towels and a bottle warm water.....found em shivering in the parking lot at black pond in meriden..... got some puppy milk but it only took 2 droppers full of water and curled back into the ball

its seems to be 7-8 weeks old, eyes open and furry all over, but no bushy tail.....i got out the car and ir approached me, huddled next to my shoe, so i pu t my hand out and it has over, had to take him home he would have died

thats older then mine were when i found them they were still pink and blind be sure to keep a hot water bottle wherever you are keeping it and like you said puppy milk for when they are young when they get a bit better they can move up to applesauce but they make a helluva mess, and after that banannas are great but also messy, try a bit of everything to feed it and give him a place to hide under a washcloth or whatever it will be really rewarding if it survives and becomes all friendly like with you , mine used to ride around on my sholders and in my shirt pocket, and one of them still comes around to my house for me to give him a bit of food sometimes if you need to know anything just ask and il try to help

if it starts taking the puppy milk it may be worth it to get a little bottle like for kittens and snip the tip off so you dont always have to use the dropper, and once they get older they seem to go crazy for doritos

i dont really know
the first night i had mine i kept them right next to my bed and woke up every 2-3 hours but they were basically newborn depends what your comfortable with , i mean there wouldnt be much you could do if something happens, just be sure to leave him some water and maybe something to eat/milk
take some pictures i would love to see him

i had to drop off my cat at the vet for an abscess and a scratched eye so there goes $533 out of vacation money , i think it may be a bit early to be river fishing at least int he farmington, i may get out to bond pond and try for some bass this upcoming weekend

its a really small pond and im not really sure used to live on it when i was a kid and i remember catching some trout there tbh but they may be gone by now, i dont think there are pike pickerel but there have always been tons of bass there along with crappie and yellow pearch, sunfish ect and asian grass-carp that are fuckhuge along with some pretty big snapping turtles
the weeds are usually lower during the spring ( why i want to get out early) but mid summer the weeds are 0-5 ish ft below the surface in a pond that gets pretty deep in the middle. i should be out there this weekend ( or next week becuase april break) fishing in a kayak il be sure to post updates, you should really check it out i rarely catch nothing there.

Man, I wish I had some good places to go /out/ I spend most of my time at the west hartford MDC reservoir pretending to be out somewhere that's not the middle of Connecticut. I need to find some better hiking and trails.

he still moves slow, bout 8 weeks old i think...but as soon as he starts climbing and running and jumping, i will release him at the veterans hospitol in rocky hill....lots of squirrels there and the people feed them from the hand...too many coyotes around my house in cromwell, and had a bobcat walk through my yard last month
