Hey /out/
Me and a few of friends are planning to go on a weekend survival trip and im looking for some advice on what to bring? (we are trying not to bring that much gear)

I'm actually in the process of planning the same kind of thing OP. I recommend you consider where you're going first and then plan accordingly. Personally, we're going to Arran (top right of your pic) and plan on using bivvy bags with bashas for shelter, as for the rest of the stuff you'll need really depends on your own tastes and needs. Plenty of water and a good knife never go a miss though.

Sounds like fun plan accordingly, for a weekend you should not need much let others know where you will be and when to expect you back. Quite a bit depends on the weather most of what I use and carry revolves around the 6 C's cutting tool, combustion, cover, container, cordage, and compass.

The things that need to be remembered are a calm mind, positive attitude, and don't forget to have fun.

We are planning on making a shelter form stuff we find and we are bringing enough water to get us to location then use a water purifier when we get there. We have all the basics so i'm just looking for tips.

You can move as far as your slowest person, a medical kit is always a plus, distribute the weight across the group based on what others can carry safely remember you are not superman.
