>>304122Us midwesterners don't have that kind of gear unfortunately. Since we've only got 3 days there, we are limiting ourselves to moderate hikes that can be done with a regular pair of hikers and a small, light pack.
I assume, like anywhere else, the further down the trail you go (and away from the visitors center), the fewer people and signs of people you see.
