I bought this pack from my roommate for 60 dollars. It's in new condition he never even used it.

I literally read nothing about it before hand and enter the /out/ this season as a beginner.

did I fuck up buying this pack at 60$ for my first season?

I did google the Terra 65 and read a few reviews and got the specs and features (posted above) what I am incapable of is getting first hand experience or knowledgeable opinion about this pack and it's features as I am a beginner and am wary of a simple 4/5 star rating.

From everything I heard it's a good pack. I was considering either that or the Atmos 65. I went with the Atmos mostly because of Osprey's guarantee and I also like the waist band pockets on the Atmos. You should be more than fine with 65L. If you don't like hey at least you learned a lesson and you got a really good deal on a bag.

I actually have this pack. Got it cheap when I worked at sports authority because one of the zipper pulls came off and we were gonna destroy it. Used it for a lot of trips, I like it well enough. It is a touch heavier than I would prefer but deal was too good. Overall, pretty good pack.

Looks good, and if you bought it I'm assuming you tried it on and it feels good as well. Never had a bad experience with TNF, and their packs seem to be good still after many years. $60 is pretty good if it's in good condition.

I don't want to liter up the catalog so I'll tag along on this thread. I'm looking to go on a couple 1-2 night hiking trips with my gf and am looking at the TETON Sports Canyon 2100 for $80 on Amazon for each of us. I'm not ready to invest lots of money into a pack quite yet and this fit into my price range ($70-$100). Would this be a decent beginner pack for short trips?

I use this as my 5-10 day pack, at $60 you got it for about 1/2 price. It's a fairly simple pack, the torso length adjustment is awesome however. I love mine, and it's stood up very well to a couple years of use.

I have found it comfortable, rugged, simple to adjust, and easy to pack.

Hey buddy, I'm a relative amateur too and in a similar position. I've been on a handful of good camping trips/hikes but never had a good rucksack. A friend uses this brand and it was really good, I'm looking at the 'Berghaus C7 1 Series 65+10 Mens Rucksack'. Seems to have more features than the one you linked, with tightening straps and a water-cover.

The model name is misleading, though it is very light at 4lbs, it isn't ultralight. And the 3700 refers to cubic inches, and it's close to 65L capacity. 10 of that is the sleeping bag compartment at the bottom.
