This summer some friends and I want to go up to Yellowstone. We've never been before so I'm looking for advice from people who have.
What's the best way to get there? We live in Arizona so if we drive it will take a solid two days up and two days back, which if we take a week off from work, it would only give a few days to actually see things. I know there are airports near by, but they are about an hour and a half away from the park entrance. Does anyone have any experience with trams or buses that will take you to and around the park?
I definitely want to see things like old faithful, Canyon of Yellowstone and Yellowstone lake. I want to hike, camp and swim. Are there any good not-well-known attractions? I'd like to see parts of the park that aren't on post cards that many people don't see.
