So I found a few sellers on Ebay from China selling "unused" IMCO lighters for about a half to a third of what everyone else is selling for. Is it worth the trouble? I still feel bad for passing up the 3-fer deal in CTD five years ago.

China makes clones of things. Most of the time they are good because all it is, is the same factory making the same stuff as the original, they just stole/reverse engineered the plans. That said, sometimes the "clones" are pieces of shit with different/inferior quality materials made in a different factory.

It's a hit or miss.

I had one of those until 20 years ago when I swapped it for a Zippo I still use. They leak pretty badly.

I just can't find a lighter better than a Bic. Everything else fails fast and hard. Which is a shame because things like what the OP posted are so cool, and those ones in particular feel and sound awesome to use

1. matches are more vulnerable to wet conditions then a bic lighter.

2. you don't use fingers to work a strike wheel... it's a thumb with a closed fist.

3. if you're too numb to work a lighter with one hand, you're gonna have a hard time lighting a match with two.
