Once in a blue moon one of those teenagers actually get licensed, but topo is tough work for somebody not used to tough work. They rarely last, especially in our current situation. It has little to do with actual construction though. Maybe you mean construction staking? We do that too, and it's generally a 1 man operation these days with a robotic. I was on a 2 man crew once with their primary party chief for a 20 year old company staking out a road in the pouring rain. It was the most stakes they had ever put in the ground in a single day. I used to get serious praise for the physical work I did. I'm one of those guys who got into it for the challenge, and I have the education and certification to prove it. Not to mention a list of resume as long as your arm full of actual GC experience.
