1. White Birch -- bark is fucking tinderliscious, tap for birch water
2. White Pine -- nuts are good if you can get to 'em b4 squirrels, needles make good tea w/ vitamin c.
3. White Oak -- acorns are edible and make good flour, but must be leached in 2 changes of water to remove tannins
4. Any other conifer -- lower dead branches for easy firewood, green boughs for bedding, stands of conifers for wind protection, etc
5. Dollar Tree -- plastic sheeting, rolls of twine for small jobs, picture hanging wire for snares etc.
