welp i was always interested in sound a chillin' so i studied to become an audio/sound engineer and got a bachelors in that with a particular focus on acoustics. worked in that field for about 6 years, mostly as a mastering engineer but also in recording/mixing. things were going well, did a few high profile/award-winning albums, started teaching on the side. eventually i quit the studio job, kept teaching and did my masters in acoustics. now i help design studios and perfomance spaces, as well as solve problems at restaurants and theatres and such, and lecture in acoustics and sound engineering to keep the cash flow.
debating dropping the teaching and landing a job at a big engineering firm but idunno... will probably be a 50% pay cut or worse
