>>324891I don't have pics with me at the moment due to recently moving house.
State:
mainsail, working jib, genoa, spinnaker, and one other small foresail
antifouling needs to be reapplied, which we're just about to do
The boat is formed of 2 fibreglass shells sandwiching some wood. This wood was rotten and needed to be replaced.
One of the stanchions was broken, and subsequently repaired.
The rubbing strake was fucked, and we've just about finished replacing it.
Came with a working outboard, which we've broken and now fixed again.
Dingy has a puncture but is good for around an hour.
Mast looks good and should survive for another year or two before we need to inspect it properly.
We recently determined that the keel bolts need replacing, something I'm not looking forward to doing to be honest.
All in all, it's a fair old amount of work but she's absolutely sailable. We sailed her from Gosport to Bitterne in two trips when we first got her, then got her hoisted out and began work. Any work we've done, we've gone for a cost-effective but still worthwhile solution. I.e., enlisted the help of a fair few friends with the necessary expertise to help with the woodwork, anything involving the engine, etc as well as doing as much ourselves as possible. I can now do fibreglass repair, a bit of plumbing and feel confident working with wood.
