>>321041Are you actually claiming that I'm not?
I really should not have to explain this, but for the sake of knowledge I will:
There is a 102" whip antenna mounted to the driver side of the vehicle. That antenna is resonant between 26-29.5mhz, which 10 meters falls in. It is in fact most resonant around 29mhz. Displayed on the frequency country on the top radio is 28.4mhz(USB) which is the 10 meter calling frequency, so yes, I actually do use it on 10 meters.
The UHF/VHF antenna is on the passenger side of the vehicle, and is used for.........
UHF and VHF. On the bottom radio the frequency counter says 146.520mhz, which is the 2 meter calling frequency. It is worth noting that it is a half wave antenna, not a 1/4 or 5/8' so there isn't much of a need for a ground plane. I did this specifically so that I could attach a canoe or kayak to the top of the vehicle.
They are two separate units. As they both actually do work, quite well. Picture related.
