Wilderness backpacking packs have beefy hip belts, which make all the difference. 70% of the weight goes to your hips/core rather than your shoulders.
MOLLE is probably the most overrated thing for /out/ purposes. How much shit are you attaching to the outside of your pack? You realize the more weight you put farther from your body's CG, the more it cranks back on your shoulders and causes aching? All you really need are a couple of carabiners, 1-2 gear loops, or a shock cord ladder. Way more versatile and minimalist. You don't need 3x5 MOLLE loops for twigs to blend in with your ghillie suit.
