>>33062Do it. Bikes come and go ... I got real lucky with my 525, it was -exactly- what I was looking for.
But now that I've been riding for a few years, kinda know what I like and dislike ...
I'll always have a big-bore thumper like the 525. That bike still puts a big stupid grin on my face every time I ride it (which is daily).
But I'd really like to get something a little more adventure-capable, something with a little more stator output to run heated grips and a headlight/running lights at the same time... luggage capacity for venturing off into the woods with camping and camera gear for a day or three... maybe a little more street and distance-friendly. Possibly a KLR650, but I'd really like a 990 Adventure.
Rode a buddy's 950 Adv last year and was amazed at how well it handled trails... but you could still tell it was a LOT of bike to be throwing around on the trails. (Pic related).
Another real fun bike that'd get me into a lot of trouble is a 990 Superenduro .... same engine as the Adventure (LC8), just in a lighter, more dirt-bike like frame/suspension. Think dirt bike with a V-twin engine.
