The biggest hike is like 10 miles round trip, unless you want to walk park to park and cross highways and shit to get to another set of 2 mile trails.
It's impossible to get stranded in the "wilderness" around here. You're lucky if you go 20 minutes without seeing somebody even in the most "secluded" spots, unless the weather is totally shit.
The only upside is there are plenty of ponds, streams, rivers and the bay/ocean to explore in a kayak or canoe.
But the woods are all just patches of trees. The only good looking set of land is the Great Cypress Swamp, but it's owned by a conservation organization that doesn't want people out there.
