I'd actually say the opposite, everything is wrong except for the spork which looks fine.

- Paracord is shit cord, you can have better stuff that that, unless you want to buy a new bundle every year.
- That cookset is far too big and heavy, are you planning to invite a dozen people or something?
- Petzl headlamps are great, but this one is kinda ordinary actually. The Black Diamond Spot has the exact same features, except it has some brighter LEDs, and it's cheaper.
- Chevron Techron is better.
- Make your own with a can.
- Not the best Mora, plus orange is better, you'll realize it when you drop it.

Aside from that it looks good to me. I don't know what the PEtzl thing is and you might not need that many pots at once, but it's not like you can't leave one at home... Saying that, I carry the same number of pots so that I can boil more water at a time.

Some other misc. chemicals/adhesives... silicone vacuum grease, copper spray-gasket sealant... depends on the application. Valv Crimson and T6 have done me well over the years, good shit.

Need to get the bike done (couple more weeks)...
...knock out some other small projects (oil change in generators, replace winch contactors)...
...then the sled needs pistons, send the primary out for balance, and replace the rails I bent racing a few months ago.

Those were for a different project, and they were "transmit-only".

My T2 freaked out at the end of the season... blinked the battery % when it was in transmit mode, transmit indicator stayed on for a minute when I'd shut it down... just wasn't behaving right. No idea what I could have done to it to make it do that.

So back it went, they warrantied it, shipped me a new one.
Better now than in the winter, but it's kinda why I have a spare beacon in my gearbag.
I only have the two; this T2 and my older DTS I keep as a spare. Pic muchly related.

Fires are prohibited in the areas i go in the backcountry in Cali, so picked this up. It's pretty awesome, actually. fast boil time and absurdly small, great flame control. One small can of fuel lasted 4 days, still got some juice in it.

That is, from my amateur knowledge, a broad axe and is made in that shape for carpentry. The head is that shape so that the cutting edge isn't blocked at all by the handle of the axe or the rest of the head.

Take this with a pinch of salt.

Well after setting the tent up I realize that I need to return it. The rainfly was seam tapped really poorly (visible air bubbles that spanned the length of it) and the mesh of it was very poorly made and subjected to uneven stress at some point which caused large holes to form. The CS at Nemo quickly gave me a RA number and I shall ship it back to them tomorrow.

No, it's actually a eureka spitfire, which is an excellent 3 season tent that has served us well in many rainstorms.

I would not, for one second, consider bringing that tent if it was actually going to snow any real amount, it would collapse quick.

I will use it as scarf/ shawl / face camouflage. The Band is for my Knife Sheath.

I also could make a backpack cover or simple sacks from it.

That's the problem with all the less expensive mosquitonet+hammock setups I've seen. When I see them in a store or in the field they almost always have some major fuckup that renders them nearly unusable within a trip (if it even makes it that far) which is why i'm going to just make a full wrap mosquito net when I have time.

Plus then I can change out my hammock and what not without worrying about keeping the built-in mosquito net function.

Another alternative people don't give enough credence is just a mosquito net head piece. Wear socks/long sleeves/deet your hand and you should be alright.

Not yet, the stuff hasn't arrived (or perhaps it has, but it goes to my nan's house because she rarely leaves the flat for long - I'll find out this evening).

I'll post results when they happen and I'm going to put more effort into the sheaths this time than I did for my latest knife sheath which is laughably bad (but it does the job).
