The way you extend the telescope thingy is worth some money too, but unless you hike 3 or 4 times a week you won't find a difference.

Before your average shitposting takes over:
There's a difference between jogging and "nordic walking".
Furthermore, trekking poles are imperative when you have knee problems and they are a great help if you descend several 100's of meters with 15-20kg backpacks.
No, you don't need them for sunny day tours in rural midwest.
