Never thought of carrying a hatchet, but i'm going to buy one for this summer after freezing my balls off last year due to shit wood and nothing to split it with except a 3.5in knife

Looking at Estwing Sportsman's Axe with 10 in. Leather Grip Handle, looks to be everything a dumbass like myself would want.

Also can anyone tell me a decent angle to sharpen a hatchet at? i usually do 20 degrees for my more delicate task knives and 25 for my knives that are more heavy duty.
