Alright /out/siders, I want your perspectives:

You're innawoods/desert/whatever. Something has not gone according to plan (like maybe you lost your kayak with everything except what you had on you or blah blah blah), and now you have gone from recreational outdoor activity to legitimate survival situation.

I'm not asking you what you should bring, or how to get somewhere safe. Let's assume you know that you'll have be at home tomorrow or the day after. Or not. Your choice.

But what is your first priority? fire or shelter?
(Lets also assume you have water. This is really meant to be about fire and shelter.)

Please explain your reasons for your choice.
