there's a thread down there about the best ax. not about using an ax in the woods, but about what kind of ax one should buy. nobody is throwing a hissy fit in that thread, and nobody should be throwing a hissy fit in this thread.
if OP had said, "what kind of gun is good for self-protection", it goes in /k/. shooting in the outdoors is fine in either /k/ or /out/.
common sense, people. if you don't have any, just substitute some other word for "gun" and see if the thread still upsets you.
