im going hiking with some friends tomorrow and noone has bearspray. what should I do if we see a bear?

or is bear spray really highly reccomended?

Just don't fuck with its cubs, look like food, or look like a sexy lady bear and you should be fine

You can also wear a bell so the bear doesn't get surprised by you and thus try to defend itself

they will probably avoid you then. if one does approach, make lots and LOTS of noise

if you run into cubs you're fucked if the mom sees you, other than that, bears are pretty timid and will run from you and noise

However if you're at a popular park where bears have become pseudo-domesticated then yeah bear spray is a good idea.

Black bears are pussy fags they are way more afraid of you then you are of them. 99 percent of bear encounters end with the bear high tailing it out of there

to quote my friend "if you wake up in the night and there is a bear in your camp, walk over and kick it in the ass"

yup that is true, but a quick read of the exceedingly rare fatal attacks is still enough to be horrifying. many of the (very few) deaths are especially sinister and senseless and violent.

I don't know how true this is true ,but a friend in Germany told me they had a guy who would go out in the woods to sedate bears tie them down then rape them after they regained consciousness.

Where are you going hiking? Grizz country? Bear spray highly recommended.

To improve odds apparently go jogging through woods with little bells on. Grizzlies could be a problem but you just make like Grizzly man. If one decides to eat you, it probably will unless you pack heat. Like, shotgun and slugs or something.
