I am at a desert lake kayak fishing for a few days in a pic related.
The electric hookup allows me to run my swamp cooler dealio.
Feel like a tenderfoot but for 16 bucks a night I even get a hot shower.
Anyone else ever do this stuff?

Look, I go on minimalist trips, sleep in a hammock, try to hike as much as possible in a day, and survive of compressed bread and all that on e other hand, I have no problem "glamping" if my focus for that trip is something else. Like kayak fishing, you're not there to be survivor man, you're there to kayak fish. What's the problem tender footing for a few nights?

Go car camping in areas because it's a cheap way to be somewhere I wanna be to do something else? Shit yeah man. It's fun. Nothing to feel bad about or like a pussy over. I love being outdoors, showers and not getting heat stroke. Doing all three at once sounds nice.

The thing I love about car camping is cooking.
I bring along my Mexican wok if there is a large group.
I can make tacos for 30 people in about an hour. Much less if I cut up the ingredients before hand.
