So, I'm fucking bad at outside things. Hell, I'd be a shut-in if I didn't have a job. But I'm going on vacation next month to Myrtle Beach with some family (parents and grandmother) and I don't know shit about the beach. I'm 22 and I don't go outside, I haven't been to a beach in almost 10 years, and I'm completely average on looks, and shit.

what do people do at beaches for fun, and shit?

It can be depending on the situation. Just remember to keep an eye out in the water and the ones on the sand can still sting you. They aren't gonna kill you, but they'll smart for a while. Myrtle beach is fun but it's definitely a big tourist trap, judging by your first post it sounds like there would be a lot for you to enjoy. Just relax and soak up the rays, play some sports if you want, read a book, etc.

I don't think anyone's ever too old for a sand castle, you could even make a sand fort by digging in a little and draping your beach towel or blanket over top for some shade. Gamgam would love it I bet

Not at Myrtle beach. You may get 2ft visibility at most. No cool coral either. Just sandy bottoms. Sorry Anon. If you were just going to the outer banks or the crystal coast much fishing could be had.

Floridian here. Beaches are all really fucking boring. 90% of them are nothing more than sand and stinky dead water. Expect to see a thousand fat old people laying around on the shore, but only a handful actually in the water at all.

Maybe you'll luck out and find something else to do around there.

yeah. but the only way to not be scared is by showing yourself it's not scary. Go to the beach and just swim around. its fun.

Bring a dog if you can, that way you wont feel out of place, you're just a dude playing with his dog at the beach.

not even a little. I can't surf, never done it before, and I was horrible at skateboarding when I was a kid. And I've been told the water is too murky to see, so that doesn't sound like a viable activity... and waaaaay too poor to Jetski. Shit's expensive.

buy a boogie board, they're cheap and take little to no experience to use. Go in water, play in waves, dive in, try body surfing, eat fried chicken on the beach, hell if it's not too crowded fish if you legally can. There's plenty to do.
