I hiked the green stone trail with my dad when i was in high school. Ended up fishing on lake richie, was a nice way to mix up meals on the trail. As for how, we borrowed someones canoe for a bit while they were on a day hike, ended up eating loads of fish with them that night. You can cover the island in 5 days pretty easy, but id say go for a bit longer and hit the minong ridge as well, its worth it if you go through the pain of getting out there.

Michibro here and while ever been there myself, I understand there is no hunting allowed but presumably a regular Michigan fishing license is sufficient.
