I use my knife to do things, and if its sharp enough to do those thing well then that's fucking sharp enough. I'm not going to spend 10 hours rehoning my knife with a compass and specialized equipment when I can take 10 seconds to sharpen it in a tool. I'm not going to buy a 400 dollar hand made knife that is going to be treated like a fucking hatchet half the time, and be covered in sticky oozy guts and blood the other half.
I swear the majority of you faggots going on and on about proper knife sharpening don't actually use the fucking things. You just spend all day sharpening them and dreaming about what it will be like when you finally go on that backpacking trip you've been planning for years but never did.
