>>364230I'm not going to attempt Everest soon, but i'm definitely gonna do it sometime later, next big thing i wanna do is Massif Vinson, i just have to find 5 more people willing to do it
Well, it cost me not far from 40,000$ for everything
Around 10k for the wholl gear
7k for the whole travel from europe to tibet, and the trip to basecamp and stuff
15k for the climbing permit (climbing + camps + using the routes, insurance {even if it's mostly useless} and stuff)
And 8k for the things i bought there, that includes the food, the oxygen, some equipment, tents, etc
We went there with an expeditions, we were like 12, 7 people i knew and climbed other moutains with, and the 5 others were from different countries and looking for partners
I didn't bring my laptop, but i brought a lot of books, you don't get bored there, honstly, everybody is chilled and happy to be there, so it's really convivial, and the mood is comfy and friendly, we spend a lot of time getting to know eachother ( knowing who you're climbing with is essential) and partying, except when we're climbing, then nobody talks for like 15h sometimes, everybody is focused on every step they take
i didn't phone anybody so i wouldn't know, but i spent nearly 2 months there, including the time it took us to acclimatize to the really high altitude, and the roundtrips between the camps at different altitudes
Also, you can't really bring high tech stuff there due to the altitude, the cold, the snow and the amount of humidity
