Help. Opened cast iron skillet. Saw this pit in bottom maybe 1mm deep maybe 2mm wide. Wife says it's no big deal. What y'all think?

In that shitty a pan, it won't matter. It will take an insane amount of seasoning to get that thing smooth and non-stick, so I wouldn't worry about it. Pro-tip, check thrift-stores and flea markets for old 30+yrs cast iron with a machined surface.
