Saw an episode of this, was pretty good, I like the hippy and army veteran dynamic.

Yeah, just discovered that both the guys aren't on it anymore, sadly the hippy got fired for a disagreement with the new guy as well.

Basically the army guy got fired for bumping up his resume, it's a shame because he did seem to know his shit from what I've seen. Still 2 good season with both of them, I really like the buddy survival situation, think I prefer it to solo stuff.

It was really good, I watched it a lot. But they started cutting the show so it became more and more (obviously fake) drama between the two than survival, so in the end I got sick of it. Too bad since it had a nice dynamic in the beginning.
Dave Canterbury's youtube channel is really good, though.

I heard that there will be coming a new Survivorman season soon, anybody else know about this?

Yeah, Dave's a great presenter. Knows his stuff and puts it across really well. It's a shame Muh Valor is such a big deal in the states.
Matt Graham, the new hippy guy they brought in to replace Cody is really first rate. I hope he gets his own show once Dual Survival gets dropped.
Joe Titty or whatever the fuck he's called is an absolute clown and brings nothing to the table now Matt is on board.

the new guy matt was actually a consultant for survivorman. Les is pretty up from about his limitations and I like that about him but I always found his show a trial and error kind of thing of a normal guy. Which is kind of good because it shows you what you might expect of yourself in the situation. Not sure if he's built on the experiences of the early shows. I saw one with his son and his son was better in survival than he was in the end

interestingly that's basically in one of the areas I fish regularly. There have been pretty regular reports in the foothills of alberta about that kind of stuff. There's an area north of where I like to fish where there have been really regular reports of 3 or 4 creatures. It's so damn isolated out there. At night you're on your own for 40km each way and couldn't see your hand in front of your face. I was in to reading reports for a while and it's interesting as the sightings tend to move south as winter approaches. BTW amazing fishing out there. So far all I've seen is a lynx and deer but there's so much space out there. I've had wolves hanging around my camp some nights and there are cougars wailing in heat in the summer.

Similar concept to dual survival, but more focused on the real danger of only having yourself as a resource.

Les goes to most of his locations alone and unarmed except for a pocket knife and sometimes a gun for protection against bears/cougars etc. depending on the location.

He doesn't have a camera crew, just his camera equipment, a few common pocket items like matches and a knife, an emergency radio in case his life is threatened and the clothes on his back.
