>>372945I've posted plans up-thread but you can easily design one that suits your particular needs and
conveniently stores all your personal gear (plus some room to spare).
The key is collecting ALL the gear you may possibly want to carry in your patrol box ahead of time
and figuring out all the dimensions and how / where it'll all be stashed; measure twice, cut once.
I'd also suggest; a hinged swing-up rear panel (with two support struts) that expands the top work
surface, shorter legs then many of the posted designs; you want the top to be 'round about standard
counter height (36"), I like the ones using galvanized pipe for legs but they need flanges for feet,
putting "linoleum" on the top and all inside flat surfaces and IMO critically; mounting the carry handles
near the _bottom_ of the parol box.
Mounting the handles near the top (as in many of the pics) will result in you banging you knees into it
as you carry it and make it harder to get it up and load it in your truck. It also makes it easier to push
and pull the patrol box around in the truck bed, as the pulling force is at the bottom.
You can also use the shallow space under the down-folded rear panel to mount an axe, hatchet, machete,
folding camp spade and other tools, using any of a variety of clips and mounting methods.
